a new language for wine
at amiti, we tend to think about wine in a non-traditional way. we lead with the emotions and imagery that are evoked for us when we first taste our wines after bottling. as you read what follows, you will notice that we do not provide tasting notes or technical details - instead, each of our cuvées offers stories based on the memories behind making them and the people we dedicate them to.
we do this not to be pompous or evasive, but to ensure others can develop impressions of our wine free from influence, and hopefully make things less intimidating to new wine drinkers. by speaking about wine in this way, we hope to encourage you to formulate your own opinions, find what most excites you, and develop a wine vocabulary that you feel empowered to use.
