still in the clouds | sill white wine

an ever-evolving blend of chenin, chardonnay, pinot blanc and melon de bourgogne

upon my first tasting, i immediately felt an air-like stillness somewhat akin to a dream. as if i were floating just a couple of inches off the ground, in a place that felt familiar, but was just a tiny bit strange. i couldn’t quite put my finger on it,  and eventually resigned myself to not knowing how it has turned out as it did, or how exactly the present aromatic complexity had developed. i chose instead to remember the first time i had a champagne that really blew my mind. how i was sitting around a table with several friends, looking at the smile on everyone’s awestruck faces, on a beautifully sunny day with nothing but a few, still clouds in the sky.
